I didn’t take what many consider the regular route to being a Marketing Professional.  I learned a lot while finishing my degree, yes, but so much of what I’ve learned about small business marketing has been on the job.  It’s really shown me what my passion actually is!

Critical thinking problems and games were so fun to me as a child and I use that directly in taking a budget (whether big or small) and devising a well thought out, strategic plan for each unique client I work with.  To say that it’s a game is wrong because money is never a game (unless I’m sitting at a blackjack table), but marketing can be seen as a way to win over your customers loyalty and business with critical thinking.

If you’ve ever seen the movie Inception starring Leonardo DiCaprio, he plants ideas in a dream so that the character actually thinks that they came up with the idea in their dream.  Marketing your product or service-based business is eerily similar in philosophy!  Your marketing can be so good that your customer feels like it’s a no brainer to buy from you.
